Hair was either virgin (raw hair), Remy (cuticle hair but steamed), or non-Remy (mixed hair, beauty supply store hair). These days companies grade the hair they sell using their own grading metrics. In other words, someone’s 8A grade hair may be another vendors 10A grade hair- so there is no real way to know what quality hair your purchasing when basing the hair on a number metric.
